We keep the following natural stones in stock for all landscape project needs:

Granite
Granite comes in many different shapes and sizes. Granite is the hardest natural stone known to man. Its antique appearance fits in most any landscape scheme. It is mined in places as close as Westford, MA and as far away as India. With that being said, you can imagine the different colors and shapes that are available.

Granite cobblestones We carry the following dimensions: 4"x 4" x 8", 4"x 5" x 9", 4" x 7" x 10" and 3" x 6" x 12". These can be used as garden bed edgers, driveway edgers, or for walkways and driveways.

Granite steps and platforms We have granite steps ranging from 3"' to 8"' in length and are all 7"" thick. You can customize a replacement for existing stairs or add them as a landscape feature. Standard depth of a granite step is 13" but you can get platforms to fit your application. Platforms range from 3" deep to 8" deep and the same widths.

Granite stair treads We have granite treads used for topping off fieldstone, man made retaining wall block or cultured stone steps. The tread is the part of the step you actually stand on and step on to. We have treads from 4" to 8" in length all 2" thick. Like the granite step you can get custom depths ranging from 14" to 24". The standard depth is 12".

Granite lamp posts We have posts in stock that are 7" x 7" x 8" that are already cored for your electrical wire. We also have a 10" x 10" x 2" granite cap for the top. This is not mandatory but rather provides a sophisticated look. We also carry the metal phalange for the top of the post for your light fixture mounting.

Granite mailbox posts We have posts in stock that are 8" x 8" x 6". The mailbox post has an optional mailbox bracket. We also offer engraving for your post. This will add time to delivery. Ask a sales representative for pricing.

New England Fieldstone
We have New England Fieldstone in stock that is indigenous to Connecticut. It truly is one of the natural stone wall stones of choice. The colors are predominantly grey, tan and brown. Some stones have moss on them as they are being taken off old farmer"s walls which have been in place for 100 years or more. The stone in stock is called wall run which is a mixture of flat and round stones.

Pennsylvania Fieldstone
Just as the name reflects this stone is taken from the fields and walls in Pennsylvania. We carry this stone on pallets ranging from 1.5 to 2 ton. The color is very different from New England Fieldstone, it is a darker brown with grey mix. You can specify pallets with the burgundy color which is the same as the color of the soil in Pennsylvania. We stock pallets of 1"-3" and 3" to 5". We also carry Pennsylvania Fieldstone steppers. Three stones generally to a pallet, 3" x 3" x 4" used for natural steps.

Pennsylvania Bluestone
This is a bluish gray quarried shalestone. Bluestone is quarried in large 25-50 ton blocks and then sawn or hand split into many various shapes and sizes. There are many color variations and textures available to suit any landscape project.

Bluestone stair treads
Bluestone treads come in 3" to 8" lengths. The tread is very consistent in thickness. Treads are always 2" thick unless custom ordered. The most typical depth is 12", although you can get them from 14" to 24"."Stocking dimensions are 3" x 12" x 2" to 8". Bluestone, unlike granite, is slightly softer but the stair treads have a thermaled finish on top which is a great anti slip feature. Bluestone Flagging
For many years bluestone flagging (pattern stock) has been a favorite in reproducing the historical patios and sitting areas of the past. Bluestone flagging comes pre cut in sizes (nominal) from 12" x 12" to 36" x 36". All bluestone flagging comes in 6" increments as the size increases (example: 12" x 18", 12" x 24", 12" x 30", 18" x 18", 18" x 24", 18" x 30" and so on). There are several different types of flagging all having subtle differences in thickness, color, surface texture and cost. Since there are so many variations and styles we carry samples of each to look at to help make your decision.

Limestone
There are many different types of limestone all quarried from different parts of the country and the world. The two that we are most familiar with are pure limestone (white) typically in a crushed decorative stone form, and tan typically used for steps or treads. Unlike granite, limestone is a very soft more porous material. Purchased mainly for landscaping decoration there are many things to consider when choosing location or placement of material. Since limestone is so porous you must seriously consider keeping ice melt products away from it. The tan limestone we see here is quarried in the Midwestern United States.

Limestone treads
Like most other stair treads the thickness is 2” and the standard depth is 12”. Treads come in 3’-8’ lengths. Stocking items are 2” x 4’ x 12” and 2” x 5’ x 12”. Used in the proper location with porosity in mind limestone is a very nice addition to any landscape.
